Radio Silence!

We have been SO busy making awesome art in the art room at Lake County High School that we haven't posted here in 2 whole months! Have no fear, folks, lots and lots of amazing artwork is being created! Let's play catch up....

7th and 8th grade students were led through a meditation where they focused on their breath and explored clay, creating pinch pots. When they finished, students reflected back on the process and the connection between their breath and the clay in their hands.

The next stop on the Creative Clay Train for 7th and 8th graders was making pinch pot animals! Here are a few, but you'll have to come to the Spring Art Show on April 29th to see them in all their glazed glory!

9th - 12th grade Lake County High School art students have been working hard, and have created some REALLY powerful pieces.

AnnMarie Duel "Stoic"

Aryha's watercolor painting was inspired by a Rumi poem (both above).

Amber's inspiration for her watercolor painting was a quote from Banjo Paterson. AMBER IS IN 8TH GRADE!

Xavier Gowin's self portrait, titled "A Weight Lifted".
